Earrings of Moss Agate and Opaque Emeralds
September 17, 2009
Moss agate and uncut emeralds form these elegantly simple earrings with profound meanings and properties.
Moss agate has multi-shades of green in intricate patterns that resemble moss or trees. Many people identify it as the stone for gardeners.
Traditionally moss agates are considered the most powerful of the agates. It was the agate of warriors, who keep a piece of it on their person or decorated their armour with it.
Moss agate enhances concentration, persistence, and endurance: traits we all need as “warriors” for life and love, against oppressive attitudes and emotions.
The emeralds of these earrings are demure step-sisters of the precious stones. Emeralds promote hope, and enlightenment. They are the birthstone for May.

Did you make these??!!
Either way, they are lovely! I have never heard or seen moss agate before, but it is lovely and very original, though they would probably look very lonely without the uncut emerald to accompany them.
Keep being creative & have fun!!

Hi Charissa,
Of course I made them! Thanks. Yes, moss agate is nice, I made 2 pairs with it, but I do like these with the little “demure” emeralds.
